The Borner Predator Elite airgun model has many similar features to the legendary Colt M1911. This pistol was in service with the United States for a long time (1911-1985), and in some countries of the world it can still be found. The Borner Predator Elite is made entirely of a metal alloy with a Blowback function, a movable bolt frame. The frame and the slide are black, the grip pads are made of plastic, and the pistol has identical dimensions to the original. The weight of the Predator Elite airgun is 1120 grams. The magazine holds up to 19 charges, such as 4.5 mm metal balls.

An imitation of the Colt 1911 pistol by Borner in an air rifle design powered by a 12g CO2 cartridge, a metal slide and BlowBack.

The principle of the CO2 system: The cartridge is inserted into the weapon and mechanically locked onto the pin. When the trigger is pulled, the cock hits the valve striker and the valve opens. This is where the CO2 gas from the cartridge begins to flow, which drives the bullet out of the barrel.

The pistol's construction is made of both metal and durable ABS plastic. A lighter polymer is used for the lower frame, but the pistol's slide is metal . This combination keeps the pistol robust while reducing its overall weight.

The Borner Predator Elite air pistol is powered by a standard 12g CO2 cartridge. It is inserted into the handle of the weapon. There is a recessed push screw in the lower part of the handle that does not disturb the appearance of a regular pistol. Up to 60 shots can be fired  from one CO2 cartridge .

In the front part of the handle you will also find an ammunition magazine . Thanks to the smooth barrel of the Borner 1911 model, destructive 4.5mm steel BB shots can be used. The magazine capacity is 19 pieces of this ammunition.

The trigger mechanism used in the Borner Predator Elite pistol  works in Double Action mode . At the same time as the trigger is pulled, the hammer and the firing mechanism are cocked. After the trigger is pulled, the shot is fired. The pistol is equipped with a BlowBack system , which not only contributes to realism, but also has the additional function of cocking the weapon after the shot and relieving the trigger for the next shot. The trigger can also be relieved for the first shot by cocking the hammer or the pistol breech. This is the same principle as with firearms.

The safety device is located on the right side of the frame to prevent accidental firing . It is a lever that can be operated up and down between the markings F and S. If the lever points to the marking S, the gun is locked. If you move it up so that it points to F, the gun is unlocked.
